√ User Researcher

Strategist based in New York.

I help companies make better decisions.

Obligatory intro

I started my career as a UX designer working with early-stage start-ups before transitioning into user research. After nearly a decade of work across finance, healthcare, and consulting, I now think of myself as a strategist. My work helps companies bridge the gaps between ambitious goals and what the people they impact value most.

I operate an independent consultancy, and sometimes, I share my thoughts about design and tech. I have a Master's in Design and Technology, and I can rant talk all day about the healthcare industry, the best places to travel, and who makes the best bagel in New York.

  • "I worked with Danielle as a peer and manager, and experienced up-close her wonderful work-ethic, professionalism, and remarkable skillset. She approaches all her work with pragmatism and resourcefulness — a keen eye for how to get things done with the time and resources available. She’s also an excellent planner, excellent communicator, and has a strategic mindset that allows her to be more impactful than most researchers I have worked with. I could not recommend her more strongly."

  • "Working with Danielle has been a transformative experience. Her exceptional skills as a UX researcher, coupled with her ability to deeply understand workflows and identify friction points to help improve products, make her an invaluable asset. Danielle communicates complex concepts in a way that is accessible and meaningful to any audience. Her influence has not only improved our projects but also made me a better listener and researcher. She has this remarkable ability to elevate everyone she collaborates with."

  • "When Danielle joined Viz.ai as Lead UX Researcher, she proposed and later implemented research processes that provided clear guidelines to remove moderator bias, improve interview consistency and use the research platform, Dovetail, to disseminate research insights across Viz.ai. This enabled management and co-workers to make more informed decisions based on early research, saving development time and focusing teams on key opportunities."
